Itinerary
Meeting Point & Duration
🕒 Duration: 4-5 hours
🚇 Meeting Point: Yonghegong Lama Temple Subway Station (Exit F)
Stop 1 - Lama Temple 雍和宫
Start with a guided visit to the Lama Temple, which is the largest and best-preserved lama temple of Tibetan Buddhism with influential status in Beijing, and also is the cradle of two great emperors of Qing dynasty—Emperor Yongzheng who once lived there and Emperor Qianlong who was born there.
Your guide will walk you through its history, architecture, and daily rituals, explaining incense customs, symbolism, and why locals come here to pray.
You’ll explore the courtyards, prayer halls, and towering statues at a relaxed pace, with time to observe worshippers and soak in the atmosphere.

Stop 2 - Food Crawl
Two dine-in spots.
A tiny, hidden hutong shop known for its handmade zhajiangmian (Beijing fried sauce noodles) - a small, cozy, almost workshop-style space where you mix thick noodles with rich soybean paste, pork, and fresh toppings yourself.
Then we head to a classic local restaurant for authentic Beijing stir-fry dishes - sizzling plates, savory sauces, dumplings, and share-style comfort food that locals grow up eating. It’s warm, casual, and exactly how everyday Beijing dining feels.
Stop 3- Confucius Temple & Imperial College 国子监
After a full meal at two dine-in restaurants, continue walking along Guozijian Street, passing the Confucius Temple and the historic Imperial College.
Their tranquil courtyards, ancient stone tablets, and shaded walkways offer a calm contrast to the lively hutong dinner streets nearby — a glimpse of old Beijing’s scholarly heritage.
We gonna explore one traditional Beijing snack shop here, which hidden in hutong.

Stop 4 - Hidden Hutong Brewpub
End the evening at a hidden hutong brewpub, where locally brewed craft beers are served in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Popular with locals, this cozy spot is perfect for unwinding with a drink while learning about Beijing’s growing craft beer scene and how historic hutong neighborhoods continue to evolve after dark.
