Our Story

I’m Lynn. I grew up in Sichuan, China’s legendary culinary capital, surrounded by the bold, spicy flavors and family kitchens where love was always served on a plate. Later, as I traveled across China, I became obsessed with how food & culture-and the land it comes from -reflects local life.

In 2019, after getting my maser degree in Dallas, Texas. I chose to settle down in Beijing. From ancient hutongs to remote mountain paths, I was drawn to places where China’s traditional culture is still visible -woven into architecture, landscapes, and everyday life, even within a modern capital

I still realized: Beijing is one of the most unique horseback riding destinations in China. I fell in love with the dramatic contrast of leaving a mega -city behind to find myself on a mountain trail within the hour.

BiteEscape was born from my desire to share the lifestyle I love. I don’t just want to show you the sights; I want you to feel the same sense of discovery I had. Whether we are sharing a bowl of authentic local noodles or watching the sunset from a mountain ridge on horseback, my goal is to help you experience the real, unfiltered Beijing -one bite or one lesson or  one trails.

Now BiteEscape is a Beijing-based experience brand focused on small-group/private group  sightseeing, food, culture, and horseback adventures. We work with licensed professionals and operate our own horse ranch. Every experience is designed for travelers who want something deeper than typical sightseeing.

Our Standards

Whether we are picking a dumpling shop, one lesson or a mountain trail, our standards never change.

  • For Food: We only work with small, family-run vendors that we eat at ourselves. If it’s not authentic and delicious, it doesn't make the cut.

  • For Culture: We collaborate with some of Beijing’s finest traditional craft masters who have spent decades preserving and practicing their art -so every cultural experience is hands-on, meaningful, and deeply rooted in living tradition.

  • For Riding: We operate our own ranch and have multiple professional coaches, ensuring every horse is well cared for and every trail is both safe and breathtaking.

With BiteEscape, you enjoy Beijing the way we love it!

Moments We Love

These are the little moments that shape every tour.
Hot steam from the pot, horse hooves on mountain trails, shared toasts with new friends, and views that feel like the city’s heart.

Meet Friends, Not Just Guides

Our tours are led by warm Beijingers who love their city and its wild trails. You won’t follow a script. You’ll walk with a local friend who knows the best food, or ride with a skilled horseman who knows every mountain path.

We guide like friends, not staff members. That is why our tours feel personal, relaxed, and real.

Authentic Beijing Food & Culture Tours

With Bite Escape

BiteEscape believes the best way to understand a city is through both its food and its culture - because in Beijing, they’re inseparable.

Our tours take you beyond the surface: smoky street grills, hand-pulled noodles, quiet hutongs, traditional craft spaces, and the everyday rhythm of local life. You don’t just taste Beijing - you walk through its stories.

No staged performances. No tourist traps.

Just bold flavors, living traditions, warm hospitality, and moments that stay with you long after the night ends.

More Ways to Experience Beijing

For us, the "real Beijing" doesn't stop at the city limits. Bite Escape’s horseback riding experiences take you deep into the countryside to discover the city's hidden natural beauty. But an adventure is never complete without a great meal; every ride concludes with a specially prepared local feast in a nearby village.

It’s a chance to breathe the fresh mountain air and then sit down to the kind of authentic, rustic cooking you won't find in the city center. It’s light adventure paired with the same deep local insight you find on our food tours.

Private Tours for a Seamless Beijing Experience

Not every journey needs to follow a fixed route. Our private tours are designed around you — your pace, your interests, your way of exploring.

From the Great Wall to hidden hutongs, from cultural landmarks to countryside escapes, each experience is thoughtfully planned and fully flexible. Your guide is there to bring stories to life, while giving you the freedom to shape the day as it unfolds.

No rushing. No crowds. No one-size-fits-all itineraries. Just a deeper, more personal way to experience Beijing.
