     Bite Escape Story

Like many great ideas, Bite Escape began with a love of food and culture in China. 


I’m Lin, a local guide born in Sichuan, surrounded by bold flavors, family recipes, and the traditions that define Chinese cuisine. My travels across Asia and beyond—from hidden street food stalls to family-run eateries—taught me how food and culture are always connected. Now I have already lived in Beijing for 7 years.

The more I explored, the more I realized that China’s own food story—Beijing hutong noodles, steaming hotpot, century-old teahouses, and the art of Peking Duck—was still untold to the world. It’s not just dishes, but the way neighbors gather in courtyards, how recipes pass down for generations, and how daily life shapes flavor.

That’s how Bite Escape Food Tours in Beijing was born: a way for travelers to taste authentic dishes and discover the real stories, crafts, and people behind them.

Today, my mission is simple: to make every guest feel they’ve experienced the real Beijing food tour—authentic flavors, hidden hutongs, and cultural traditions—one delicious bite at a time.
